Could-A, Should-A, Would-A....

This just in.... Breaking News..... I've had an epiphany!

Yes, I know what you are thinking.... don't  hurt yourself by thinking too hard there girlfriend!!! HAHA, it's OK, go ahead an admit it... I WAS!

I'm sitting here plugging away at my computer and going over some work financials thinking, wow this stinks (or maybe I used another word), BUT I do feel really productive. Then I had a flashback to when I am on a business trip in Panama. I get up early, complete a WOD, get dressed, do my hair/make up, eat a heart breakfast, and feel... ON TOP OF THE WORLD!

When I'm home I do most of the same things minus looking as nice and professional and yet I just go through the motions! Sort of depressing isn't it? BUT it doesn't have to be or feel that way.

If I ran my own company and I walked into the office each day, how would I want to feel? What would I want to do? I would want to feel knowledgeable, accountable, helpful, productive, and most of the time content.

Well why can't that happen here? Answer is, it can! All it will take is a little planning. Goal for myself before next Monday: make a list of specific things I can do to accomplish those itemse below. Remembering I'm not expecting a miracle, but let's at least try with some realistic expectations!

Are You Living Beyond Your Means?

It's easy to make excuses about saving and one's income, but this article is really interesting. I've been going through our financials with a fine tooth comb these past few weeks as we are venturing into a new part of our life and it's really true that if we are willing to make little (and big) changes (some may say sacrifices) it can be done. Unfortunately it is NEVER easy! And being a person that was lucky enough to never have to worry it has been a struggle of mine as I have grown on my own to make my own budgets, actually stick to them, make changes in my lifestyle, etc.!

But always knowing that it is for the better of my family and our future!

Portable Office

If you can't  get into the office....bring the office to you! GET CREATIVE!!!

Lately if I have work that needs to get done before or after I go into my office (yes home office), I usually bring The King downstairs into his Play Kingdom so he can do a little playing while I do a little work. It doesn't last TOO long, but at least it's something. I usually have the laptop on my lap which isn't the easiest for me. I keep thinking "I should get a tv dinner table or a small coffee table, just for this reason", well this morning, AHA the light bulb went off.. GET CREATIVE MOMMA... so here you have it.....

Part Produce Stand part Momma's Desk!

Does THIS Have a Name?

It's almost been a month since The Nanny has joined our family. I've gotten a lot of questions on how I think she is working out. Personally, I am very happy! The King has really taken to her, besides the fact he would obviously prefer to be with my husband or myself!

However, the first week he wouldn't really address her. The second week he kept referring to her as "THIS" and each time would then point to her. Well ladies and gents we have had a break through!!! After this past weekend (she came on Saturday with her little girl) he now is calling her by name... well his own little nickname he has made for her since he can't pronounce her whole name, but I love it!

Yesterday she was so excited and said "he is calling me by my name, I am so excited! At least he is not calling me 'THIS' anymore"!

Super Bowl Performance

And in case you didn't get enough...........

Apparently my 2-year old didn't get enough, because I just turned the volume up on this video, The King ran over to look and goes "YAY THIS" "Feet, Stomp Feet" (that is what we were having him do during the real performance)!!!

B

HOLY BEYONCE!!!!!

I mean I am STILL drooling from B's Sunday Night Performance! I have always liked her. Besides the fact she is married to Jay, she has always held her own, stayed classy and just seems like she has a great business sense and is a good person. Total hearsay, BUT that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

I don't really listen to much "modern pop hits" as The King demands Mama Mac's "Bongo Baby" or Elmo's "Potty Time". So I am not really up-to-date with all of her songs so I wasn't sure how well I was going to like the performance. And last year I was REALLY disappointed by Madonna.

But, WOW. From her outfit, to her GORGEOUS hair! Her moves, ohhh her MOVES! The song pics were great, LOVED the Destiny Child's reunion (how hot did they all look) I was LOVING her facial expressions too!

It was funny when D-Child did a few songs together then 1/2 way through "Single Ladies" she basically was like "off the stage girls", haha! Did anyone else notice that?

The only thing that could have made it MORE perfect was a surprise performance by Jay-Z and a "Bonnie and Clyde" duo!
